For the yeast dough:
2 cups + 2 table spoons whole spelt flour
1 small package dried yeast ( e.g. Hefe Garant Dr. Oetker)
1-2 tablespoons sugar beet syrup
1/4 cup vegetable fat (e.g rama culinesse) or margarine
3/4 cup soy/oat/rice milk (choose what you prefer)
+ I added by touch sparkling water to the dough
For the Crumbles:
2 table spoons brown sugar
1 cup + 1 tablespoons whole wheat flour ( you can use the same flour
as before, I just wanted to experiment a little…)
2 table spoons vegetable fat/ margarine
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 20 tea spoons of your favourite confiture (I vary between
plum, apricot and blueberry and raspberry jam.btw, don’t mind the weird measurement, did it by touch.)
Step 1) Firstly we begin with the yeast dough. Mix the
flour and the yeast and all the rest ingredients.
Then you have to kneat the dough until it receives a
Step 2) Now, you shape the dough into a role (~40cm )
and part it with a knife in 20 equal pieces.
Step 3) Form each piece into balls and place them on
your baking plate. Next press these “balls” to circles.
Oh, by the way, I think it’s time to pre-heat the oven!
Hot air: 180°C
Step 4) Mix all ingredients prepared for the crumbles together.
Step 5) Take a tea spoon and spread your favourite confiture
on each yeast dough circle. (One tablespoon for each circle)
Afterwards pile the crumbles all over the circles and we’re almost done!
Step 6) Now, put the plates in your oven and keep calm for
about 20 minutes. ;)
